Safed Dara Ski Resort

Safed Dara is Tajikistan’s only ski resort, located just over an hour’s drive north of Dushanbe. Over the past five years, the resort has seen significant development, making it a convenient option for winter activities. It caters to visitors of all abilities, offering a variety of activities for those who prefer not to ski.

Activities and Facilities

Safed Dara offers options for skiing, snowboarding, and other snow-based activities. For non-skiers, there are alternative ways to spend the day, making it a suitable choice for families and groups with mixed interests.  For skiing and snowboarding, there are 14.2 km of slopes available. 3 lifts transport the guests. The winter sports area is situated between the elevations of 2,200 and 3,020 m.  You can find a map of the groomed ski runs below including the new “Somoni” route that opened in January 2024 after an expansion of the gondola system.
